What to Expect

Maybe you’re trying church for the first time…

…or maybe you’ve recently moved and you’re looking for a new church home. Maybe you’ve agreed to visit because that friend (who loves our church a little too much) just won’t stop inviting you. Whatever brings you to Pleasantview, we’re excited to have you!

Worship

We are led in worship by our band and vocalists. Often we have a choir that helps lead with our team. All of our music points people to Jesus, who deserves all of our worship. Don’t be surprised when some people raise their hands as a sign of praise while singing, and don’t feel obligated to do so yourself. We create an atmosphere of freedom in our services.

Casual Atmosphere

We know visiting a new church can be intimidating, that’s why we have a greeting team who would love to meet you and show you around! We’d also love to give you a gift as a first-time guest! We will not single you out publicly or ask to you to say anything. And we do not expect guests to contribute anything financially.

Dress

We care about YOU, not what you’re wearing! We want you to feel welcome just as you are! Our dress code is simple: wear something.

Kid-Friendly

We strive to provide a safe environment for kids and families. If you bring your kids, you’ll check them in each Sunday in our Check-In areas using a special labeling system for security. Babies and toddlers are cared for by loving volunteers. Kids Worship happens during the service for kids up to 2nd grade. All of our kids ministry volunteers must pass background checks and have a heart for kids and families.

Practical Teaching

Our teaching is centered on the person of Jesus, the message of God’s grace, and inspired from the Bible. We believe in teaching practically out of the Bible and allowing the Holy Spirit to speak through our Pastor. We don’t just want to just give you information, but teach for transformation that will equip you to live a life empowered for Jesus!

Food and Drink

Enjoy free hot cup of coffee and donuts from our cafe each week.
